Sifu Kai Uwe Jettkandt
Sifu Kai Uwe Jettkandt has been practicing martial arts for over 34 years. In an effort to deepen his abilities in the martial arts, he has travelled extensively throughout Asia including China, Thailand, India, Malaysia and Indonesia. In his travels, he had the opportunity to learn from and train with masters of various indigenous martial arts. Fascinated with the profound knowledge of local masters, as well as with internal force (chi) and the emotional components (shen), he decided to also seek out the depths of this knowledge and ability. He learned Shaolin Kung Fu as taught in the southern temple from his Grandmaster, Wong Kiew Kit. By 1994, thanks to his Master, he had already begun to learn the three treasures of Shaolin: Shaolin Kung Fu, Shaolin Chi Kung and applied Zen. After studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture, Gua Sha, Chinese healing herbs, Chi Kung) for over eight years, he opened a TCM practice in Frankfurt am Main as a natural health practitioner.
Sifu Kai Uwe Jettkandt:
"A martial arts master must not only stand for justice and use his skills to protect himself and others, he should also be able to heal with the internal abilities he has acquired. In this way, his knowledge and abilities can serve all people."
For his merits and abilities, Sifu Kai Uwe Jettkandt was accepted into the "International Martial Arts Hall of Fame". He is the first German martial artist to receive this honor.
